Frequently asked questions

You need a minimum of 6 points. Points are awarded for: recognised qualification (up to 4), professional experience (up to 3), age under 35 (2 points), German language skills (up to 3), and other criteria.
German is not mandatory but earns significant bonus points. A1 German gives 1 point, B1 gives 2 points, and B2+ gives 3 points. English B2 also gives 1 point.
You can work part-time (up to 20 hours per week) while searching for a full-time position. This includes trial employment and internships.
Once you secure qualifying employment, you apply for an EU Blue Card (for highly skilled roles) or a standard German work permit. Your Chancenkarte converts into a residence permit.
We offer German A1 through C1 courses through our training vertical. Many Chancenkarte candidates combine immigration consulting with our German B1 or B2 courses to maximise their points.
