Programme overview
This B1-level course is designed for learners who have completed the A2 level and wish to reach independent language usage. It focuses on enabling students to confidently handle communication in everyday life, at work, and in social situations. The course strengthens grammar, vocabulary, fluency, and writing skills to support personal, academic, and professional development. A communicative and task-based approach is used, with interactive exercises, real-world dialogues, audio-visual content, and targeted exam training to ensure learners can apply the language confidently and correctly.
Additional Focus Areas:
- Vocabulary building for advanced everyday, academic, and workplace situations
- Writing: formal and informal emails, letters, and structured texts
- Listening and reading comprehension with authentic German texts Structured speaking practice including debates, interviews, and presentations
- Role plays and real-life scenarios for spontaneous communication
- Gespräch (conversations and discussions)
Exam Preparation:
- The course includes intensive preparation for official B1 exams, including: TELC B1 and Goethe-Zertifikat B1 formats
- Practice in all four modules: Hören (listening), Lesen (reading), Schreiben (writing), and Sprechen (speaking)
- Detailed exam strategy training and tips 15–20 full model tests conducted during the course to ensure exam readiness
- Individual feedback and mock interviews to simulate the real exam environment
By the end of the B1 course, students will be able to:
- Understand and produce clear, detailed texts on a wide range of familiar topics Express opinions, describe experiences, and present arguments clearly
- Engage in conversations with a degree of fluency and spontaneity Use complex sentence structures with grammatical accuracy
- Be fully prepared to appear for external exams such as TELC B1 or Goethe-Zertifikat B1
